Food for thought

This morning there was a lady named Adele from the heart foundation
that had came to room 8 to talk to us about how much we should
eat and how much we should not eat.


First Adele ask a lot of questions of how to stay healthy and keep
your bones healthy. Adele also told us about the food labels and
food grouping. then she had this sheet of cereal boxes that she had
handed out to the class. We had to share with a partner so we can
say what was the energy, what was the fat, what was the fiber and
also what is the sodium.


Next she gave us some activities that we needed to do and also
put in order. After that we had to put the drinks in order so
from less amount of sugar, to the highest amount of sugar,
because it has to much of sugar in it.


After that she said did you know that the size of your hand
is how much you should be eating. And Adele said if you
eat to much bad food then you will get diabetes.


Finally it was sadly that Adele had to leave because the
morning tea bell rang. I can’t wait to see Adele again
on this Thursday so we can learn more about food
and what we should be eating and what we should not.
