Hensel and Gretel Ninja Chicks

Here is my summary:

One day after Gretel and Hensel had finished their training they
went straight home. When they got home they looked around
because the house was so messy. Also their papa was missing
so they had to look for him. They saw footprints on the floor,
they followed the footprints. While they were walking they had
saw light. So they had went to the light and then out came the
fox. The fox had told them to come in to have some turkey then
they went in when they had saw their papa. But the fox had
pushed Hensel and Gretel into the cage but the chicken had
squeezed himself out to help the other chicken. And they
both pushed the chicken into the cage and they let all the
other chickens out of their cage.

Reflection:

I have a little understanding. I need to relearn how to write a
summary in my own words.
